ANDERSON, Secretary of State Denver, Colorado Price $1.00 1972 December 1, 1972 MEMORANDUM FOR THE FILE FROM: DAVID WILSON SUBJECT: State Filing Requirements 1. Pennsylvania - I spoke with Mrs. Brenda Jack, Assistant Director of the Elections Section in the Pennsylvania Secretary of State's Office concerning state filing requirements. She confirmed the fact that negative reports are not required by candidates, as indicated on page 32 of the Pennsylvania Election Guide. There- fore, no reports will be filed for either the President or Vice President. 2. Colorado - Mr. James Gaddis, Assistant Director of the Elections Division in the Secretary of State's Office, informed me that his office did not interpret Colorado state law to require filings by Presidential candidates. Insofar as the law might possibly be applicable, it would only cover to Presidential electors. However, the state has never sought expense statements from electors.
