RE: Chicago car drivers
The following were the drivers of the cars we used in Chicago on this
last visit:
1) Lawrence M. Cohen, 7019 Chappel Street, Chicago
2) Edward J. Cunningham, 5311 Cornell Avenue, Chicago
3) Fred K. Grant, 5522 South Ellis Avenue, Chicago
# 4) Bill Sadd, 5469 Hyde Park Boulevard, Chicago
# 5) Harvey B. Stephens, 5330 South Blackstone Avenue, Chicago
The two names that are marked with an # are the two fellows who have
driven the cars for us on all of our trips to Chicago since the trip
during the 1958 campaign when we first used the University of Chicago
group. All of this list are University of Chicago law students but
these last two guys have been with us every time, while the other three
are all new on this trip. As I mentioned to you, they all gave up being
over at the University of Chicago Law School ceremonies Sunday afternoon
with Governor Rockefeller in order to drive the cars for us. I think
special mention should be made for the two old-timers since the boss
seems to be quite impressed with this group and the fact that they do
come and drive the cars for us when we're in Chicago.
