Mr. Don Hughes
Office of the Vice President
Washington, D. C.
Dear Don:
Attached hereto is a memo concerning the visit of Vice President
Nixon and party to Gainesville.
I have no idea what questions will be asked on the panel or by
students in the audience if audience participation is permitted.
The kids are pretty sharp and can think of a lot of questions.
The one question which is sure to arise, probably in several
forms, is one regarding Little Rock and integration.
Everything in Gainesville appears to be in excellent shape and
I know that you will be well pleased with your reception and
the attendance at the meeting.
Information about Miami later.
Very sincerely,
G. Harold Alexander
