TO CALIFORNIANS OF MEXICAN DESCENT "We are Americans All, as the theme of this year's September 16 parade in East Los Angeles so fittingly expressed it. As Governor of the first State in our nation, my adminis- tration will be dedicated to advance the interests of all Californians - regardless of their religious belief, their racial heritage, their political affiliation or their station in life. California owes much of its culture, tradition, and institutions to the influ- ence of our good neighbor to the south. I intend to give recognition to this fact. For I am proud of California and its history and the constructive role of the Mexican - American community in making our present progress possible." (Paid Politicol Ad) Richard M. Nixon
