TELEPHONE PLAZA 1.5630 November 23, 1960 Mr. H. Robert Halderman Nixon-Lodge Campaign Headquarters 1146 19th Street Washington 6, D. C. Dear Bob: I received a call yesterday from one of the locals in Connecticut regarding your request for clippings of the Hartford, New Haven and Bridgeport rallies. Remembering that they had ful- filled my request for two sets, and seeing they only had one set themselves, they asked if I could assist in the request. En- closed in the folder, SO identified, are the clips. Attached to the folder are some additional names they asked to have thank you letters forwarded to. Also enclosed is a folder of clips and a list of names on the Oakland and Hayward rallies. I just got these on Friday. With our shop closed, would you take on the responsibility of passing them on to the proper person for processing. I had hoped by now to have a list of names and clippings from the Mayor of Ontario, California, Daniel Mikesell, who aided Bill Black and me in putting the Ontario Airport rally together on that fateful Tuesday morning. When it does arrive, I'll shoot it to your atten- tion for similar handling. There was one guy in Los Angeles who was of great help to me. Instead of waiting to add his name to the Ontario list, which may never come, I've included it in this mailing. It's attached to the Oakland-Hayward folder. Much to my dismay, that just about wraps me up with the Nixon Campaign of 1960. I don't think I have to tell you that it was the greatest experience I have ever had. All I can add to that is I'm available for '64, or sooner. Sincerely, Jam Tom Sedlar TS:mg P.S. Give me a buzz when you get to J. Walter and we'll relive some of the campaign over a beer or two at one of the nearby bistros. NEW YORK ATLANTA CHICAGO LOS ANGELES MEXICO CITY From the desk of 7om Sedlar DIR.
