Monday, September 27, 2010 Page 1 of 1 [Item 1 September 20, 1972 MEMORANDUM FOR: NOEL KOCH FROM: PAT BUCHANAN We need a speech for Dole, the working title of which -- though not the actual one -- is Kooks Around McGovern. This would include the Abbie Hoffman, Rubin, Fonda types in one bag -- the Ramsey Clark and Pierre Salinger cut-ups in another -- the five who made those hateful remarks about the President in another, and the ex-Vietnam types like Clifford in another. These last were included in the masthead of the McGovern Defense Policy Paper. Ken Khadingian can probably give you the backdrop on some of the characters involved. Can we get one like this done?
