RE:
Rental of Toland House for Period
of August 21 - September 6 or 8, 1970
This afternoon 1 spoke with James Toland, the owner of the house
in which you reside when in San Clements, and we confirmed that
the house would be available to you during the period August 21 -
September 6 or 8.
On previous occasions when you have stayed at the house, you have
been paying a monthly rental of $1500, prorated to $50 a day. As
you are probably well aware, this rate yields to Mr. Toland con-
siderably less than what similar houses in the Cypress Shores area
can demand. Consequently, the rental for this next period will be
$2000 per month or $60 a day. I am not sure how adamant Mr. Toland
is on this rental rate but I do tend to believe that there is ample justi-
fication for an increase.
Should this daily rate be unsatisfactory to you, you are not committed
to taking the house. Would you please advise me of the manner in which
you would like me to handle this and I will be glad to work out the details.
