Personal and Confidential
Dear Charlie:
I have just read Gallagher's piece which you sent
me about the formation of the Conservative Party.
If there is anything you can do for the future of
the Republican Party in Massachusetts to head
this off, you certainly ought to. This is the
disastrous kind of thing that can only hurt us in
future years.
Looking at the roster of mediocre maniacs
involved in it, I really think it can be diverted.
Best personal regards.
Sincerely,
Charles W. Colson
