Friday, June 11, 2010 Page 1 of 1 MEMORANDUM THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON October 7, 1970 FOR: LARRY HIGBY TOD HULLIN LW FROM: LUCY WINCHESTER SUBJECT: Mrs. Jeanne S. Viner and California Wines You have referred the Jeanne Viner/California wine matter to me. Jeanne and I have been on a first name basis for a long time, so frequently has she lobbied me. I will be glad to do the dancing bear act again for her and maybe she'll buy me lunch again. Note from Debby Murray: And when Lucy was unable to dine with her, she even condescended to invite me to "Sans Souci", so anxious is she that we serve California wines at State Dinners!
