HIGBY SUBJECT: Nixon/Muskie Horserace figure release After talking with Colson, the suggestion he makes with regard to releasing our latest data on the Nixon/Muskie horserace is as follows: Tag the poll as an RNC poll and have Dent leak the poll to Evans-Novak for their use in an exclusive column. We would tell Evans and Novak that there was no plan to release the poll, but after they ran the column we could, of course, follow up on our own. HIGBY L Jack Gleason called me to suggest that we consider the idea of having Chotiner and Dent call all the people involved in our transactions during the last campaign and suggest that they keep their mouths shut.
