RE:
Ed McDaniel
Jack Caulfield called me the other day regarding
Ed McDaniel. Evidently he has been cut out of
everything in the President's re-election effort and
is very upset. He has indicated that he knows a lot
about the 1968 campaign and has indicated that he
will "talk".
Not having been around for that campaign, I am unable
to judge the value of his implied threats.
John asked that I pass this information along for whatever
action you deem appropriate.
Attached is a memo John sent to Clark MacGregor in
July on this same subject we have heard nothing.
