ACTION PAPER
We need to set up an organization of conservatives,
probably having Hobe Lewis get them together to launch
the thing.
We should develop a group of eight to ten including
Lewis, Jeff Hart, Clare Luce, Billy Graham, etc.
The point would be to develop a "Conservatives for
the President" group that would support the President
down the line from a conservative viewpoint. They would
develop letter writing activities, etc., to counter-balance
the offensive now being launched in other directions by
some of the conservative publications.

ACTION PAPER
We should get someone to reprint and mail out the
McGinnity article - preferably in its full form when
it comes in to me.
An ideal person to do this would be Bob Abplanalp -
as a successful middle-American who could have read
the article and been very impressed with it and mailed
it to a broad list of people. It should go from some-
one like that who is known to be close to the President,
but not from the official staff or organization here.
