MEMORANDUM FOR
H. R. HALDEMAN
FROM
C. E. STUART
RE
Julie and David -- Tokyo Over Night
In our meeting on March 19, 1970, the President specifically
stated that Julie and David Eisenhower should stay at the
American Embassy residence while in Tokyo.
Because Julie has indicated a preference for hotels and be-
cause I have learned that Ambassador Myer's wife is inclined
to be a little pushy and will no doubt attempt a "take over" of
the Eisenhowers' schedule, my preference for accomdations
is the Okura Hotel in Tokyo. It is purported to be one of the half
dozen great hotels of the World and is directly across the street
from the American Embassy.
A Japanese government quest house is also an alternative.
Unless the President has strong feelings that the Eisenhowers
should stay in the American compound I should like to plan on
using the Okura,

Thank you.
