Wednesday, August 25, 2010 Page 1 of 1 TALKING PAPER - KIMMONS The President wants is clearly understood that he will not attend the March 28 Republican Dinner in Washington, D, C. unless there's been & change in the Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman. It is Maury Stans' understanding now that Bob Wilson is going to continue in that post and that be will be running unopposed. This is, as you can imagine, a matter of considerable concern to the President. On another point, are we doing everything we can to develop good positive Congressional reaction to the Bush appointment to the RNC? There was something in the news summary today about some Congress- men being upset about is. Just for your information, the President called Senator Bides about his wife's accident. HRH:pm 12/19/72
