TALKING PAPER - KIMMONS
The President wants is clearly understood that he will not attend
the March 28 Republican Dinner in Washington, D, C. unless there's
been & change in the Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman.
It is Maury Stans' understanding now that Bob Wilson is going to
continue in that post and that be will be running unopposed. This is,
as you can imagine, a matter of considerable concern to the President.
On another point, are we doing everything we can to develop good
positive Congressional reaction to the Bush appointment to the RNC?
There was something in the news summary today about some Congress-
men being upset about is.
Just for your information, the President called Senator Bides about
his wife's accident.
