MEMORANDUM FOR:
THE HONORABLE JOHN N. MITCHELL
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL
FROM:
H. R. HALDEMAN
Tom Evans at the RNC has offered to take charge of the Campaign
Management Training project originally suggested by Chefiner.
You probably have this project on track already, but for the record
we have no objection.
Rose Woods advises that Jack Mills has offered time and fund raising
help.
She reports that he was with the House Congressional Committee
and raised a "substantial sum in 1968 -- confidential".

MEMORANDUM FOR:
MR. COLSON
FROM:
H. R. HALDEMAN
SUBJECT:
List of Vietnam Veterans
In answer to your question on the attached, yes, we should
do more.
We are now working through the VFW and Legion organisa-
tions, but why not use these lists for semething from the RNC.
I agree that we shouldn't cut into the recruiting of the VFW
and the Legion, and that a Presidential letter is probably not
warranted, but with all the "Veterans for Peace" groups
around, why not organize some to support us? The Veterans
organizations are good but you should look into this situation
a little further to see if there are other ways to reach these
people -- a little more directly.
Please put somebody on this and let's try to generate some
ideas and then come up with a plan. Let me know where we
stand by March 15.
