HALDEMAN [55-4 DETERMINED TO BE AN ADMINISTRATIVE MARKING E.O. 12065, Section 6-102 By Bg NARS, Date 7-9-82 CONFIDENTIAL April 28, 1969 MEMORANDUM FOR THE ATTORNEY GENERAL The President feels that you are the one who should talk to Harry Dent regarding his new role as the political man; that Ehrlichman, Morton and I should be present when you do this; but you should make the basic speech. He particularly wants you to explain clearly the problem with Sears and to make it absolutely clear to Dent and the rest of us who are there that Sears from now on is to report to Dent and is to work under Dent's direction and within Dent's control. He then wants to make it clear to Dent that if there is any problem in this regard, and if Sears does not follow his directions, Sears is to be let go. H. R.
