Action Memorandum Lg. No. P 1725
The telegram to Julie Eisenhower from members of the
Atlantic Beach School was leaked to Helen Thomas of
UPI by DeVan Shumway. Helen went back to her Jacksonville
bureau, resulting in the attached story that appeared
in the Washington Evening Star Tuesday, June 15.
Also, the Chamber of Commerce in Jacksonville is expected
to adopt a resolution shortly welcoming Julie to the
community.
