R. HALDEMAN FROM: PAT BUCHANAN Enelyn Rose sent this over to me; this is from the best individual letter writer RN has ever had. She spends much of her time writing to papers all over the country on behalf of the President. Note the Stationery she uses; we printed this up and subsidized her operation during the campaign -- she wrote to New Hampshire and Wisconsin for us. My recommendation is that Magruder get in touch with her -- and that we subsidize her again. The cost in dollars is peanuts and the return in enthusiasm and output would be enormous. She ought to be put on mailing lists for GOP materials; she will do the rest herself. You might mention it to the President when we have enlisted her services -- he will remember her and is aware of her effectiveness. oc: Rose Mary Woods (Letter from Evelyn Crane to RMW, October 1, 1969)
