MEMORANDUM
TO:
FROM:
Rose Clark Mary MacGregor Woods Rosp
Maybe you will want to have the California people give con-
sideration to the attached suggestion which was sent in to us
by someone from California.
1
"The dammed "so called" two way KABC Radio station out here allows
people to call in and give expression to their venom against President Nixon and
makes a short snappy cut off when someone calls in to give him credit for his
accomplishments.
Frankly, I think out here we need an organized telephone staff to con-
sistently call in on this Radio line and defend and commend President Nixon --
from this day forward right up to the election day. The radicals who are against
him certainly have been hard at it for the whole 3 years and something has to be
done to counteract their advantage. You know, I'm sure, this station is open to
callers from 9 AM to 6 AM the following morning -- 21 hours every day and their
audience is numbered into the millions. The criticism has increased so much over
the past six months that there is obviously a well established political group in
action. "
