WARD L. QUAAL, PRESIDENT
July 22, 1971
The Honorable Rose Mary Woods
Personal Secretary to the President
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.
Washington, D. C. 20510
My dear Rose Mary:
Having seen that incredible letter dated June 15 as authored by Bill
Rentschler, I can say now, I have seen the most presumptuous and
egotistical communication of my lifetime.
This man, as I told you long ago, Rose Mary, is incredible. In fact,
what I would like to say about him wouldn't be transmitted through
the postal services of the United States.
As I said with my little note, enclosing the Tribune editorial on
this incredible character, it is almost too much to believe that such
a human being exists.
Rose Mary, it is my hope and my prayer that our great President will
ignore this communication and have absolutely nothing to do with this
dreadful person. He can only hurt us and in some places where it
"counts."
Warmest wishes, Rose Mary.
Very sincerely,
Ward L. Quaal
