Timmons Br I am forwarding the attached endorsement letter for signature. Murray Chotiner has approved the letter, however, because of redistricting in New York I feel this endorsement letter is unique. Dan Button (R-NY) is running against incumbent Sam Stratton (D-NY). Of the two, Sam has been à better friend of the President's both verbally and vote wise. No doubt Button will play the endorsement letter up in the District and alienate Stratton. Quite frankly, this one bothers me and wonder what your thoughts are. CONFIDENTIAL DETERMINED TO BE AN ADMINISTRATIVE MARKING E.O. 12065, Section 6-102 By BCB NARS, Date 3/18/82 Feb. 27 HAROLD H.
