MEMORANDUM
THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
January 12, 1970
TO:
KARDEX
FROM:
Rose Mary Woods
Will you please correct the card you have on
"Laurene" Nixon to show the correct spelling of her first
name -- it is LAWRENE.
Thanks
MEMORANDUM
THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
January 12, 1970
TO:
Eliska Hasek
FROM:
Rose Mary Woods
We seem to be having great difficulty getting
Don Nixon's daughter's name spelled correctly. For the
record, it is LAWRENE.
I am attaching the file copies for the final letter
that was done for the East Whittier YMCA. When the
original letter came from your office her name was
spelled "Lorene", which we corrected to "Laurene" because
that is what Kardex showed. Then we re-typed it to
"Lawrene", but also made a change in the third paragraph
since the East Whittier YMCA is a new branch.
In my memo to you on November 10 regarding
birthday letters for some of the President's relatives Marje
did misspell her name which may have created some of the
confusion.
I am sending a note to Kardex to get the name
correctly on their card.
