Sloan, Jr. Box Number: 1 Folder: Dwight Chapin - Personal [#1] Document Disposition 1 Return Private/Personal fuesday, January 21st. Mr. Chapin: I received a call from a Mr. Don DUMONT who says he is a personal friend of the President and wanted to know if there would be any possibility of his seeing The President today. I told him that it was impossible and for that matter the entire week was filled with appointments, Cabinet Meetings and the like. All he would like to do is to make sure that The President knows that he called and wanted to say hello. Evidently Mr. Dumont covered some 40, 000 miles with The President during the campaign and The President should certainly remember him. Harriet Not true Line
