HUNTSMAN gmit SUBJECT: University of New Hampshire Student Polls The President noted in the November 24, 1971 News Summary that University of New Hampshire students voted overwhelmingly for McGovern for President in a recent campus poll. Asked who they would like for President in '72 -- 890 favored McGovern out of 1, 552 responses. Muskie 425; McCloskey 66; Nixon 45; Kennedy 39; Lindsay 39; Humphrey 12 and McCarthy 10. It was suggested that our people could have done a better job on this project. Obviously, McGovern's people ran it.
