MEMORANDUM FOR:
ROB ODLE
FROM:
BRUCE KEHRLI
I received the bill for the handbills that were
printed for Laredo Air Force Base, Texas along
with your note. This whole subject will be covered
in the meeting we discussed -- hopefully this week.
There is, however, one point that needs clarification --
this is the note found at the bottom of the flyer
that indicates that it is a political advertisement
and published and paid for by the Finance Committee.
I'm not sure of the legal technicalities on something
like this but assume that under the new reporting
law everything of this nature has to have some in-
dication of who paid for it. This should obviously
not be the White House but rather the local Committee
or the Finance Committee. I'm sure that the advanceman
should receive clarification on this also and would
appreciate it if you would check with your legal
people and let us know at the meeting on expenses.
Thank you.
