ADMINISTRATIVELY CONFIDENTIAL
March 27, 1973
MEMORANDUM FOR:
GEORGE BUSH
FROM:
BRUCE KEHRLI
BAR
SUBJECT:
Zan Thompson
Please note the attached from Zan Thompson.
You should have a copy of the letter from Tom Evans
to her of March 18, 1971 in your files. I have never
seen this agreement and if it is valid, you'll note
that it indicates that she is to receive 30 days
notice.
I think we ought to keep paying her until April 19,
however, the vacation period she requests is certainly
not mentioned in the agreement. I don't think it is
warranted based on the fact she is obviously acting
as a consultant. The vacation for her staff is not
warranted either.
Because of the letter Tom Evans wrote to her, someone
in your shop should probably get back to her in writing
indicating that April 19 is her last day and turning
down the request for vacation.
Please give me a call if you have any questions -- I'm
not trying to shrug this one although it's clearly an
RNC letter of agreement.
