MEMORANDUM
THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
July 24, 1972
ADMINISTRATIVELY CONFIDENTIAL
MEMORANDUM FOR:
MR. H.R. HALDEMAN
MR. JOHN EHRLICHMAN
FROM:
BRUCE KEHRLI
SUBJECT:
Platform
The July 24 Weekend News Review contained the following note:
-- The Star's Joseph Young notes the Dems had nary
a word in their platform on federal employees --
the GOP however intends to include such a plank. --
Referring to the above, it was noted that our platform should be
careful to include a laundry list of every special group like this.
It is not necessary to worry about trying to get a short list that
people will read, but rather put an eloquent preamble on it and
include as many groups as possible.
Please follow up and submit a report on actions taken to the Office
of the Staff Secretary.
