MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
FROM:
BRUCE KEHRLI
HAY
SUBJECT:
Call from Art Sampson
On Thursday, June 7 I received a call from Art Sampson
indicating that he urgently needed a decision on giving
out information on a deed relating to the President's
San Clemente property. He had been unable to reach
Fielding and Garment and wanted me to give him some advice.
I indicated that I didn't have any background on it and
that he should contact Fielding or Garment. He reiterated
that he had tried to no avail.
I told him that I would have Garment get back to him and
then tried to reach Fielding, Garment and finally got
Doug Parker who agreed to call him back.
About an hour later I received a call from Art saying
that he felt Parker was incompetent and didn't have
confidence in his advice. I told him to hold off giving
any information until Fielding got back to him.
