YOUNG LIFE PROGRAM 201 Retain Open 202 Retain Open 203 Retain Open GENERAL FG6-11-1 WE9 I November 25, 1970 Dear Colonel Furlong: Thanks very much for your letter of November 16th concerning the Young Life program. I'm sure you know that our daughter, Jan, and our son, Tom, are very active in this program. Each has gained from their Young Life experience and we continue to support their involvement. In your letter you requested an appointment to discuss, among other things, "a request for your support". If by support you mean financial assistance, I'm afraid I am already committed to the limit of my capacity. We are extremely active in the support of Adventure Unlimited, also a youth activity involving our church. Since I'm already committed financially, I wonder if a meeting would really be a productive use of your time? Yours sincerely, John D.
