SMITH Executive Director FD FG6-11-1 EHRLICHMAN, JOHN Da January 20, 1972 Dear Mr. Ehrlichman: Enclosed is a report from the Twelfth Strategy For Peace Conference, sponsored by The Stanley Foundation, and convened September 30 - October 3, 1971 at Airlie House near Warrenton, Virginia. As with the eleven previous conferences, this Strategy For Peace Conference focused upon several important aspects of U.S. foreign policy. This Conference was one of the more interesting to date. Attendance was at an all time high with 122 participants. The six discussion group reports offer useful and, in some cases, challenging contributions to the formulation of United States foreign policy. I welcome your comments on the Report and look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely yours, and anly C. Maxwell Stanley & Mr. John D.
