I am hosting a brunch for "Student Leaders for the President", a
division of the Young Voters for the President. It will be at the
Fontaine Bleau llotel, in Miami Beach at 10:30 A.M., Sunday the 20th
of August.
This is a group of outstanding college students from around the coun-
try, it includes the student body presidents of such prestiegeous in-
stitutions as the Univ. of Nebraska, Univ: of Mississippi, Univ. of
Georgia, Univ. of Southern Calif., Univ. of Col., Univ. of New Mexico,
Univ. of Alabama, Old Dominion College, Brandies Univ., Bradly Univ.,
Baylor Univ. and many more. All- of them are actively working for
President Nixon on their campuses.
I would like to invite you to attend this reception. I think you will
enjoy meeting these young people, and could encourage them in their
efforts on the President's behalf at their campuses.
Sincerely,
Gegald Juny Rs Ford

With the Havaiian Re-election Committee in
your hands, I don't see how we could lose
the Islands.
Your good work on my recent trip to Honolulu
was very much appreciated - and proved most
fruitful. It was a pleasure meeting your
leaders at breakfast and to have a chance to
visit with them informally.
Thanks again for a very successful day.
Best personal regards.

Dear John,
Margaret and I returned from the Miami conven-
tion by way of San Francisco. This was our
first experience at a political convention on
the national level and it was truly exciting.
The morning that you addressed the Washington
delegation, I had hopes of spending a few minutes
with you. Unfortunately, I had a ten thirty
meeting with the finance group at the Doral
Hotel and had to run off. There will be other
times however, but at the moment we.are all so
busy working on the re-election of the President
it is hard to find time to do other things.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Best regards,
Colaude
