Dent, at the suggestion 8:\nthe President\nREASON: Coleman raised for Holton a few times more\nmoney this year than he had in the previous\nrace. He is also serving as a fund-raiser\nfor the RNC in several southeastern states.\nTALKING POINTS:\n(1) Thanks for the successful Holton fund-\nraising efforts.\n(2) Get his reaction. to the Vietnam speech\n(Stets is a real hard-liner).\n(3) Harry Dent has told the President about hi /\nFannie May candy store problems, and Dent has\nbeen told to do everything possible to work\nthis out (he and his wife, Dot, own the Fannie\nMay candy stores and he is having some trouble 1\nwith the FAA and DOD on candy store locations\nin the Pentagon and at Dulles and National\nairports).\nPOINTS COLEMAN MIGHT RAISE:\n(1) Stets is very conservative anc\nstrong for the President. He reca\nPresident vacationed at his place in California\nafter the exhausting U. S. Senate race. He\nrecalls a long-standing friendship.\n(2) Stets recalls also that the President asked\n- 2 -\nhim on two different White House functions to\nraise this money for Holton. So, he feels he\ndid this for the President.\nACTION:\nNovember 11, 1969"
