D. (STETS) COLEMAN, Finance Chairman Holton Campa (703-253-5207) 1050 To RECOMMENDED BY: Harry S. Dent, at the suggestion 8: the President REASON: Coleman raised for Holton a few times more money this year than he had in the previous race. He is also serving as a fund-raiser for the RNC in several southeastern states. TALKING POINTS: (1) Thanks for the successful Holton fund- raising efforts. (2) Get his reaction. to the Vietnam speech (Stets is a real hard-liner). (3) Harry Dent has told the President about hi / Fannie May candy store problems, and Dent has been told to do everything possible to work this out (he and his wife, Dot, own the Fannie May candy stores and he is having some trouble 1 with the FAA and DOD on candy store locations in the Pentagon and at Dulles and National airports). POINTS COLEMAN MIGHT RAISE: (1) Stets is very conservative anc strong for the President. He reca President vacationed at his place in California after the exhausting U. S. Senate race. He recalls a long-standing friendship. (2) Stets recalls also that the President asked - 2 - him on two different White House functions to raise this money for Holton. So, he feels he did this for the President. ACTION: November 11, 1969
