SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE
THE WHITE HOUSE
SUNDAY, JULY 20, 1969
The President:
At 10:45 a. m. Senator and Mrs. Mark Hatfield, Colonel and Mrs
and
Frank Borman, Dr. and Mrs. Paul Smith, and Congressman John
Buchanan, Jr. will be escorted into the Yellow Oval Room to join you
and your family for coffee. At 10:55, Mrs. Nixon and the ladies will
be escorted to their places in the East Room. At 11:00 you and the
four participants in the service will be escorted to the East Room.
BACKGROUND NOTES: are attached with information on Senator
Hatfield, Colonel Borman, Dr. Smith. and Congressman Buchanan.
You and the four gentlemen will be escorted to the rostrum where they
will be seated on either side of the rostrum while you make brief wel-
coming remarks. You will then turn the program over to Senator Hatfield
(program attached) and will take your place in the first row next to Mrs.
Nixon.
NOTE:
There will be press pool coverage of the service but no
photo coverage.
At the conclusion of the service at 11:30 you, Mrs. Nixon, Senator and
Mrs. Hatfield, Colonel and Mrs. Borman, Dr. and Mrs. Smith, and
Congressman Buchanan will be escorted to the North Portico for a photo
opportunity. You and Mrs. Nixon will then be escorted to the State
Dining Room where you will form a receiving line with Dr. and Mrs.
Smith and Chief Justice and Mrs. Burger.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Vice President and Colonel Borman, Secretary
Rogers and Senator Hatfield, and Secretary Laird and Congressman
Buchanan will receive guests in the Blue, Green and Red Rooms res-
pectively.
Refreshments will be served to your guests.
