(INCLEMENT WEATHER) THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON VISIT OF PRIME MINISTER OF GREAT BRITAIN AND MRS. HAROLD WILSON Tuesday, January 27, 1970 10:30 A.M. THE PRESIDENT: At 10:30 m. you and Mrs. Nixon will be escorted from your office to the steps of the North Portico. Ruffles and flourishes and "Hail to the Chief" will be played. Prime Minister and Mrs. Wilson, accompanied by Ambassador and Mrs. Mosbacher, and their party will arrive at the North Portico of the White House, by way of the Northwest Gate. As Prime Minister and Mrs. Wilson's limousine enters the Northwest Gate, the trumpets will sound a fanfare. Ambassador Mosbacher will present Prime Minister and Mrs. Wilson to you and Mrs. Nixon. Then Ambassador Mosbacher will present Secretary and Mrs. Rogers and Chief of Naval Operations and Mrs. Moorer. During the greetings, others of the party will be escorted to their places on the North Portico. Upon completion of the greetings, you and Prime Minister Wilson will take your places on the red carpet. The band will play four ruffles and flourishes, followed by the national anthems of Great Britain and the United States. Following the playing of the anthems, you will escort the Prime Minister into the East Room, entering by the center door. Mrs. Nixon, Mrs. Wilson, Secretary and Mrs. Rogers, and Admiral and Mrs. Moorer will follow. The other members of the British party will be escorted into the East Room. You will welcome Prime Minister Wilson to the United States and the Prime Minister will respond. Following the remarks, you and Mrs. Nixon will escort Prime Minister and Mrs. Wilson into the Blue Room. Secretary and Mrs. Rogers, Admiral and Mrs. Moorer will follow. The receiving line will be formed at the south end of the Blue Room, where you will receive members of the British party and the Welcoming Committee. The people being received will pass through the Green Room into the Blue Room and exit through the main door of the Blue Room.
