THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON MEETING WITH DELEGATION OF ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES Wednesday, April 22, 1970 10:30 A.M. The Cabinet Room THE PRESIDENT: BACKGROUND The Association of American Universities is a group of the 40 or SO out- standing universities in the country, and membership is restricted to those universities which are deemed to have attained outstanding records in the fields of graduate and advanced professional study and research. The group is in Washington on April 21 and 22 for its annual meeting whose attendance is restricted to the Presidents of the above-mentioned institutions. A delegation of about 10 will meet with you in the Cabinet Room (see attached list). SEQUENCE OF EVENTS 10:30 a. m. The delegation will be gathered in the Cabinet Room and you should enter from your office. A briefing paper for this meeting is attached. Ollie Atkins will be present to photograph the group. 11:15 a.m. Meeting concludes. You return to your office. Stephen Bull
