THE PRESIDENT:
BACKGROUND
Jim Keogh is a personal friend of Monsignor Nicholas Wegner, the
Director of Boys Town in Nebraska, and Jim's family used to know
Father Flanigan quite well. At Jim's request, John Davies has
arranged a special tour of the White House for 27 honor students,
all orphans, from Father Flanigan's Boys Town. The group will be
accompanied by Monsignor Wegner. After their tour, Jim Keogh will
meet with the boys in the Indian Treaty Room and answer questions
for them about the Government.
SEQUENCE OF EVENTS
12:45 p.m.
John Davies will bring the group into your office.
The boys will file in through the center door and
move over by the terrace doors.
The Press will then be called in for a Press photo, and
will photograph you as you briefly greet the group.
Presidential signing pens will be available for you
to give to the boys.
12:50 p.m.
Group departs Oval Office.
