THE PRESIDENT:
BACKGROUND
On Thursday at Noon your Health Message will be submitted to Congress.
To give greater news emphasis to this Message, you have been scheduled
to make a one-minute statement that will be filmed by the three networks,
UPI Telenews, and a White House reel photographer. Your statement will
be delivered from a seated position behind a desk in the Family Theatre,
and you will read the statement from a teleprompter.
SEQUENCE OF EVENTS
3:30 p.m.
You proceed to Family Theatre where the desk,
camera crews, and teleprompter will be positioned.
You deliver your one-minute statement (text of
statement attached).
3:35 p.m.
You return to your office.
