Drop By at Salute to Nevada's
Outstanding Women of the Century
Attached is the souvenir program that might serve to give you the
flavor of tonight's event honoring Mrs. Nixon and two other prominent
Nevada-born women. Also for your use is a card indicating the
principal VIP guests present (side 1) and the three honorees (side 2).
You will depart the White House by motorcade at approximately
8:00 p.m., arriving at the Sheraton Park Hotel at approximately 8:10,
just a minute or two before the three honorees are being introduced
to the audience of approximately 750 people.
Mr. Chester Smith, the President of the Nevada State Society, will
then, after introducing Mrs. Nixon, say the following: "Ladies and
gentlemen, it is my great pleasure to introduce the following special
guest -- the President of the United States". You will enter to "Hail
to the Chief", move directly to the podium along the center of the head
table, and deliver your remarks. There will be FULL PRESS COVERAGE.
Upon the conclusion of your remarks, the band will play "Hail to the
Chief", you will depart, return to the motorcade, and should be back
at the White House by 8:35 p.m.
