Some of Cox's Harvard law school colleagues appraised the man who will marry the President's daughter. They said he's "a very nice guy. Very sensitive to people's feelings. I never heard him curse. 11 Young Cox is known to have some liberal views, but one pal said "When VN comes up, he supports the President. 11 "Fabulous, 11 said Eddie's mother of the WH party. She said one of Eddie's chums confided to her that he expected the WH party ¹¹to be staid. Instead it was marvelous. 11 YOUNG RN called upon Americans to pay tribute to Whitney Young "by working for the goals which he sought to achieve. 11 (AP lead) In a moving eulogy RN said all Americans have a responsibility to fulfill the dreams of equality which the civil rights leader championed. "To fulfill his dream is the responsibility of each of us, 11 RN said. (UPI lead) * DEWEY HST who defeated Dewey in '48, was silent upon learning of the death of the former NY Governor. Truman's wife, Bess, told reporters, ''Mr. Truman will make no comment on the death of Mr. Dewey. 11 LYNCH Irish PM Lynch celebrated St. Pat's Day by attending mass at 180-year-old St. Patrick's Church in downtown Washington.
