Despite reports to the contrary Gleason says he
did not agree beyond the current grain deal. And

In another Admin victory, the Senate
tentatively approved 58-29 a plan bitterly fought by
organized labor which will give $400 million a year
in tax savings to corporations that export.
The
Senate Banking Comm. refused (8-5) to exempt the
news media from controls. 11
