The February 1, 1972 News Summary contained the following paragraph:
- Life's lead article: "With pride but no passion,
navy pilots fight on
They take casualties, lose
comrades as POWs and wonder -- many of them --
whether what they are doing is worth it. 11 The
pilot featured in the story says most want out -- -
and quickly. And feels the Communists will take
over South Viet Nam eventually.
