Gibbons of Teamsters said a St. Louis Local will
take legal action to oppose CLC's ruling that only
persons earning $1.90 an hour or less will be
exempt from wage controls.
Already record-high retail beef prices will soar
if animal feed antibiotics are banned, according
to some agricultural spokesmen, but the Admin
says its impossible to tell effects of the ban now.
2. 1 million homes should be built in '72, predicts
Owens-Corning's home building products division.
Rinfret and Martin Gainsbrugh said GNP and
other projections for '72 must be scaled down
because of possible inflationary pressures from
the deficits. Rinfret said the prediction of a
$100B GNP increase is a political rather than
economic forecast.
DOCKS
ABC noted Govs. Reagan and Evans met with RN
over ending the dock strike.
Reagan charged
the Hill with "footdragging" saying the problem
is apparently so far away that Congress is ignoring
it. And Evans said there'd be quick action if it
were an E. Coast strike. ''RN has done all he
can, 11 said Reagan.
Stans said the strike is costing millions each day in
shipping losses.
McCall said Asians regard™
it as a disaster and are shocked over US unwilling-
ness to end it.
