The Press
It was requested that you note the following -- especially the
underlined portion -- from the October 25 News Summary:
-- But, says Roche, RN has ended the pageantry
of the press as House of Lords. He's committed
the unforgiveable sin -- simply ignoring them.
With the campaign going SO well, even the election
hasn't forced RN to pay them attention. Thus,
"depression is rampant" among the corps. And
the rumor is that if re-elected, RN will hold an
annual press conf. on the model of de Gaulle.
"A number of leading Wash. correspondents are
allegedly applying for combat duty in Belfast,
Israel, and even Uganda, 11 says Roche.
