All nets w/lengthy film coverage of several ex-POW news conforences. All nets noted Times story of disputes, divisions over war in POW camps. all nets Denton (who thinks US has become too soft), Mulligan (who called for united US), and on NBC/CBS Wallingford (who had harsh words for deserters, protesters saying they're not true Americans.) Meany on film on all nets complained of higher profits and prices w/as yet no higher wages. ABC/CBS noted, NBC w/film as Lam and Binh agreed high level GVN-VC talks would begin between 5-10 March. Cronkite noted "both sides hailed" agreement which NBC called a "sign toward peace. 11 Film report emphasized reps met 6 times w/no success but Lam-Binh took 3 hours.
