Balt. Co. Exec Dale Anderson said he and VP apparently had
some "similar" feelings about Justice Dept he refused to comment
beyond that.
Reasoner said he's as tired of "source" stories and other
circumlocutions as anybody but he's not sure media can or should
do much about it except be as sure as possible that stories are
reasonably accurate. Given character of elements of this Admin
and its current conduct in VP affair - - chewing at itself like a
trapped animal, Harry feels media should avoid self-censorship
and print what it hears just as it reports election returns before
all the polls are closed. Granted that hearing about W'gate and
VP has been hard on the polity -- the only thing worse, Reasoner
concluded, would be not hearing about those stories at all.
