Chile's govt "fumed" over Newsweek claim that 2, 800 have
been killed. Spokesman described Newsweek's correspondent
and other unnamed newsmen as "journalistic draculas. 11 Body
identified as missing US student Frank Teruggi found in Santiago.
1st American reported killed. The youth's father said he'd been
told police arrested him, took him to stadium, and "nobody seems
to know what happened to him after that. 11
NBC/CBS noted cloud of noxious hydrogen sulfide gas fanned
out over Central Alberta after driving hundreds from homes w/
rotten-egg odor. It later dispersed under force of winds, allowing
evacuees to return home.
