in a Harris Poll w/ 45% saying they'd respect RN more if he
resigned in favor of VP, compared to 31% who said they
wouldn't. When asked if they felt VP would be able to concentrate
better on national problems because of non-involvement in W'gate,
69% agreed while 16% disagreed.
Saxbe confirmation followed less than 15 minutes of debate in
which Mansfield called him a "swashbuckling sort of a fellow who'll
call the shots as he sees them.

crunch comes
Saxbe will be for Jaworski. If, down the road,
WH tries to lean on Jaworski, 11 Saxbe will resist, 11 said Hart.
