42 MILLION DOLLAR TECHNOLOGY MOBILIZATION
AND REEMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
TWIN GOALS
:
To speed effective, productive utilization of currently
underused technological talent in the Nation's economy.
:
To increase employment opportunities and speed job finding
for the Nation's unemployed engineers, scientists and
technicians.

Job Promotion
Advertise
Mount a major promotional effort that would bring

the Federal Government and professional societies together
to acquaint the private sector, Government agencies and
educational institutions with the availability of unemployed
and underemployed technological talent in the country.

Job Coupling
Get Job
Expand use of the national job registry and the
and Man
Together
new job bank system of the U.S. Employment Service to
speed and facilitate the job identification and coupling of
applicants, with jobs for referral purposes. Provide "job
search" funds of $5 million to enable applicants to explore
tangible job opportunities out-of-area.
