My dear Mr. Vice President:
Your visit to Rio was such a great success, and
particularly the trouble you took to go to the Instituto
Brasil-Estados Unidos was so deeply appreciated, it
has occurred to me it would be very nice indeed if the
Instituto had your photograph to place in their head-
quarters. I don't know whether you would want to
autograph it for the Instituto, or for the present
President, who was so very nice indeed that day,
Dr. Alberto Torres Filho.
This suggestion is entirely on my own initiative,
as I feel it would be of the greatest help in our relations
with the Brazilians here.
Incidentally, I would be very grateful personally if
you would be good enough to send me a photograph for
my own personal use.
With all the very best and warmest regards from
Mary and me to Mrs. Nixon and yourself,
Devotedly yours,
James Clement Dunn
