Will Call 1957 back
Washington 25, D. C.
Dear Mr. Hughes:
The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of the District
Wris, Monday triguna
of Columbia is proud to announce its Second Annual Session of
Girls State to be held on the campus of American University
June 17 to 21, 1957.
In connection with this program I am writing to ask if
it would be possible for the Vice President to greet the
girls of our District of Columbia Girls State some time
during that week, at a time which is convenient to him.
There will be 22 girls in the group, and it would be an
honor and a great privilege to have Vice President Nixon
see them for just a few minutes.
Looking forward to a favorable response, I am
Sincerely, Mrs William
(Mrs.) William H. Heagerty
Director.
By direction:

Mrs. Frances Snow
Department President.
